BSNL seeks to achieve 99% uptime, Centre addressing manpower issues: Pemmasani

NEW DELHI: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) aims to achieve nearly 98-99% uptime across most of its services in the coming months, and the Centre is effectively addressing any manpower-related challenges for the telecom carrier, Minister of State for Communications Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani informed the Lok Sabha on Wednesday.

“A minimum benchmark of 95% uptime has been set, with efforts underway to achieve 98-99% uptime across most BSNL services in the coming months,” Pemmasani said, adding that BSNL’s circles have been given flexibility to address manpower or operational gaps to ensure improved service delivery.
