Qualcomm achieves successful tape-out of 2nm chip, with support of Indian teams

NEW DELHI: American Qualcomm on Saturday said it has successfully achieved the tape-out of its chip designed on the 2nm manufacturing process, with active contribution from its India engineers and research and development (R&D) specialists in Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad.

Qualcomm’s engineering teams in India contribute across design implementation, validation, AI optimisation, system integration, support optimising architecture and platforms defined by Qualcomm’s global teams.

The San Diego, US-based multinational’s chips power Android smartphones, automotive platforms, and laptops, and more.
