India eyes 2nm chip fabrication, ISM 2.0 to support design firms: Ashwini Vaishnaw
NEW DELHI: The Centre’s ambitious India Semiconductor Mission (ISM) 2.0 programme seeks to support design companies and startups, and enable the creation of a domestic materials ecosystem to improve the yield and develop a talent pool, said Union Minister of Electronics & IT Ashwini Vaishnaw on Saturday.
“In ISM 2.0, the topmost priority will be design companies and design startups that can design a product, take it to the market, and become the next Qualcomm from India,” Vaishnaw said, addressing a joint conference with Savi Soin, president, Qualcomm India.
