Dubai: BlackBerry, which has transformed from a smartphone maker to a software-led IoT and cybersecurity company, is in early discussions with the Indian government to introduce its secure government communications technology, as geopolitical tensions and climate-related risks drive demand for military-grade, sovereign systems, CEO John Giamatteo said.
The Canadian company sees its secure communications portfolio, which includes NATO-certified encrypted voice, data and video systems for government and defence use, as the next phase of its India expansion.
