Oracle to raise $50 billion to fuel AI cloud expansion

Oracle has unveiled a plan to raise up to $50 billion in 2026 as the software giant races to build the physical infrastructure required to power the global artificial intelligence boom. The company, chaired by billionaire Larry Ellison, expects to raise between $45 billion and $50 billion throughout the year using a balanced mix of debt and equity.

According to news agency Reuters, the move comes as Oracle struggles to keep pace with “contracted demand” from a roster of AI heavyweights that includes Nvidia, Meta, xAI and OpenAI.
