Apple to focus on foldable, high-end iPhones in 2026 as supply constraints bite
Apple is prioritising production and shipments of its most premium iPhone models for 2026, while pushing back the launch of its standard model amid supply chain constraints and a shift in marketing strategy, Nikkei Asia reported.
According to the report, Apple plans to focus on shipping three high-end iPhone models in the second half of 2026 — including its first-ever foldable iPhone and two non-folding premium variants with upgraded cameras and larger displays.
The standard iPhone 18 model has been pushed back to the first half of 2027, people familiar with the matter told Nikkei Asia.
