Blackstone plans ₹10,000-crore digital infra hub in Chennai

Blackstone Group is ramping up its data centre footprint in India, with a plan to invest over ₹10,000 crore to develop a hyperscale digital infrastructure hub in Chennai, persons familiar with the development said.

For this, Blackstone’s data centre platform Lumina CloudInfra has acquired a 16- acre land parcel in Ambattur in the Chennai metropolitan region for over ₹500 crore. The hyperscale data centre campus will have an initial IT load capacity of 216 megawatts (MW), sources said.
