Spotify takes on YouTube, starts rolling out AI-powered prompted playlist in US

Spotify has officially rolled out its “Prompted Playlist” feature to the US and Canada, giving Premium subscribers the ability to describe exactly what they want to listen using conversational language and generate a playlist in accordance with their listening history. The rollout comes following a successful pilot in New Zealand, and this push appears to aim to convert free users into paid subscribers.
