Japanese Sony, China’s TCL to form JV to make home entertainment products, Bravia TVs

NEW DELHI: Sony Corporation has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with China’s TCL Electronics to form a joint venture company that will manufacture the Japanese consumer electronics brand’s home entertainment products, including televisions (TVs).

TCL will hold 51% stake in the JV, with the remaining held by Sony. It will operate globally, handling the full process from product development and design to manufacturing, sales, logistics, and customer service for products including televisions and home audio equipment.
