Amid reports that consular offices in India have started rejecting B1/B2 visas, a man shared some tips after his tourist visa was granted in two minutes in the Chennai consular office. The man explained in a Reddit post that, without explicitly saying it, he impressed the visa officer how deep his ties with India are and how he would have to absolutely return to India after his trip.
The B1/B2 visas have started getting a lot of scrutiny as a visitor’s visa has become a common path for people to end up in the US and then overstay and seek asylum.
