Reliance Jio bolsters lead in 5G FWA in October, Bharti Airtel may narrow gap: Analysts
NEW DELHI: Reliance Jio has bolstered its lead in the 5G fixed wireless access (FWA) segment with a 75% share, while rival Bharti Airtel trailed with a 25% share in October. However, the Sunil Mittal-led telco is expected to narrow its gap with the market leader, according to brokerages.
Axis Capital’s analysis of the sector regulator’s industry data released for October showed that Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) accounted for 18% and 33% of Airtel’s and Jio’s total broadband base, respectively, based on circle-level wireline subscriber trends – used as a proxy for fixed broadband.
