Interference due to BSNL Network, Tejas tells Airtel

New Delhi: Tata-owned telecom gear maker Tejas Networks has rejected Bharti Airtel’s claim that the interference its Rajasthan network is facing is due to sub-standard Tejas equipment.

The homegrown telecom equipment maker said interference issues arose because Airtel’s sites were deployed very close to state-run BSNL’s network, resulting in increased noise floor. It said that claims that the domestic company’s gear is sub-standard lacks merit.
