Nokia plans to invest $4 billion in US for R&D, manufacturing

NEW DELHI: Finland’s Nokia said on Friday that it plans to invest $4 billion in the United States, targeting research and development (R&D) and manufacturing to accelerate innovation in artificial intelligence (AI)-led network connectivity.
Of this amount, Nokia said it will allocate $3.5 billion to AI R&D across various network technologies, including mobile, fixed, IP, optical, data center networking, and mission-critical and defence solutions.
