Government appoints Amit Agrawal as new telecom secretary

NEW DELHI: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) on Thursday appointed Pharmaceutical Secretary Amit Agrawal as a new secretary in the Department of Telecommunications (DoT).

Mittal has been shifted to the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.

“Shri Neeraj Mittal, IAS (TN: 92), Secretary, Department of Telecommunications as Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas vice Shri Pankaj Jain, IAS (AM:90) with effect from the date on which Shri Jain demits office to assume the charge as Member Secretary, Eighth Central Pay Commission,” the Secretariat of the ACC in an order said.
