BSNL eyes record deal for prime plot at Madhyamgram

Kolkata: An 11.1-acre land parcel of BSNL on Jessore Road at Madhyamgram is likely to be auctioned in two to three months, officials said. The CPSU (Central Public Sector Undertaking) behemoth has valued the land at Rs 179 crore, which may exceed Rs 250 crore, as big players are likely to participate in the auction.

BSNL recently sold a land parcel measuring 87 cottah in Kankurgachi for Rs 131 crore, with the price reaching Rs 1.5 crore per cottah, making it among the top land deals in the city and the highest for BSNL in its monetisation drive across the country.
