Vodafone Idea unveils family travel international roaming plan with up to 25% discount for these users

Vi (formerly Vodafone Idea) has unveiled an industry-first international roaming (IR) offering targeted at family travellers. The telecom company has introduced discounts on IR packs for secondary members on its Family Postpaid plans. As part of its Family IR offering, the telco is giving discounted IR packs to additional members on a family plan. Secondary members on Vi Family Postpaid plans will receive a 10% discount, while REDX Family subscribers will receive a 25% discount. The discounts apply to 10-day, 14-day, and 30-day packs starting at Rs 2,999.

The announcement comes as outbound travel from India continues to rise. According to the India Tourism Data Compendium 2025, 30.89 million Indians travelled abroad in 2024, a 10.79% year-on-year increase.
