Modi government approves 17 projects with ₹7,172 cr investment under ECMS

NEW DELHI: The Centre on Monday approved 17 projects, with about ₹7,172-crore investment across six categories, under the Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme (ECSM), as India bolsters its push into producing high-value components and integrating into global value chains (GVCs).

These projects will lead to production worth ₹65,111 crore cumulatively.

This brings the total number of approved projects under ECMS to 24, entailing investments from leading vendors including Jabil Circuit India, Aequs Consumer Products, Uno Minda, ASUX Safety Components India, Zetfab India, TE Connectivity India, and Meena Electrotech, among others.
