AMD shares climb as investors cheer long-term growth targets

AMD shares rose nearly 5% in premarket trading on Wednesday, a day after it laid out ambitious plans to reach $100 billion in annual data center revenue in five years by taking a bigger slice of the AI market from Nvidia.

CEO Lisa Su said on Tuesday the market for the company’s data center chips is expected to grow to $1 trillion by 2030, betting on AI-driven growth and a deeper software push.
