TCS to create 5,000 UK jobs in three years amid global layoffs

A day after reporting a reduction of its headcount by nearly 20,000 (below we’re saying 6K) in the July to September quarter, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) said it plans to create 5,000 jobs in the UK over the next three years.

The UK is TCS’ second-largest market, supporting 42,000 jobs directly and indirectly through its supply chain across 19 sites in the UK. It contributed £3.3 billion in FY24, which translates to $4.4 billion or nearly ₹39,000 crore, to the UK economy.
