Festive boom, GST relief help Samsung India clock record sales of premium smartphones, TVs
India’s largest electronic company by sales, Samsung India said it has reported record sales growth in the Navratri-Dussehra period for premium smartphones and televisions, aided by the reduction in goods and services tax rates which has improved consumption sentiments.
A Samsung India spokesperson said while sales of premium smartphones, priced upwards of ₹30,000, jumped 1.4 times versus the corresponding period last year, premium television sales went up two-fold.
