NITI Aayog report on AI

NITI Aayog has released its report, “AI for Viksit Bharat Roadmap: Opportunity for Accelerated Economic Growth”, making a strong case that India must embrace Artificial Intelligence (AI) at scale to meet its ambitious 2035 vision of becoming a developed nation.

The report argues that India needs 8 pc annual GDP growth to achieve the government’s Viksit Bharat target. At the current 5.7 pc trajectory, the country risks falling short. AI, it stresses, is the crucial lever that can bridge the gap between aspiration and achievement.
