Apple has been planning big for its AI comeback. In a recent meeting with employees, CEO Tim Cook said that the company must win in AI, calling it the biggest transformation in decades. “This is sort of ours to grab,” Cook said. “We will make the investment to do it.” According to a report in Bloomberg, iPhone maker has been overhauling its Siri voice assistant in hopes of making it comparable to AI tools from companies like OpenAI and Google. The report adds that Apple has created its own version of OpenAI’s AI chatbot to test out the new and improved Siri.The company’s AI division is said to be using the app to quickly evaluate new features for Siri. This reportedly includes testing the ability to search through personal data, such as songs and emails, and perform in-app actions like editing photos.
