‘It is unacceptable and wrong when…’: Google says Biden administration pressed it to remove COVID-19 content from YouTube, writes 28-page letter

Google has said that the Biden administration pressed the company to “remove non-violative user-generated content” which was “related to the COVID-19 pandemic that did not violate its policies.” The claim was made in a letter sent to the House Judiciary Committee by the counsel for Alphabet, Google’s parent company.

“It is unacceptable and wrong when any government, including the Biden Administration, attempts to dictate how the Company moderates content, and the Company has consistently fought against those efforts on First Amendment grounds,” Google said in a 28-page letter.
