More efforts needed to drive 5G uptake across sectors: DoT secretary

More concerted efforts are needed to drive the adoption of 5G in the country, despite expeditious roll-out of the technology nationwide, Department of Telecommunications (DoT) secretary Neeraj Mittal said on Friday.

“Much as we can take pride in achievements, there is a long way to go in terms of what we need to do as we move forward. There is much to do in the adoption of 5G across sectors,” he said at ETTelecom 5G Innovation Summit 2025 event.
