ETtech in-depth: Rapido races to the top, keeping Uber on edge

Rapido, once dismissed as a niche bike-taxi operator, is now the leader in India’s ride-hailing market with nearly half the share, eclipsing the long-running battle for dominance between Uber and Ola.

While much of this market share is on the back of its two-wheeler taxi operations and has come at the expense of Ola, Uber too is increasingly feeling the impact in one of its most important markets.
