Apple loses four AI researchers to Meta, OpenAI, and Anthropic

Four more critical artificial intelligence have departed from Apple within days of each other, dealing a significant blow to Cupertino giant’s struggling AI plans. One of them have left the iPhone maker for Meta’s, while other three from the company’s core Foundation models team said to have left for different AI organisations.

Zhang now leads projects at Meta’s Robotics Studio, while John Peebles and Nan Du departed for OpenAI, and Zhao Meng joined Anthropic, Bloomberg News reported.
