Festive fireworks ahead for ecommerce firms with season sales to rise 27%
Ecommerce marketplaces and online retailers in India are expected to ship a record Rs 1.2 lakh crore worth of goods this festive season, reflecting a resurgence of this industry from about three straight years of slowdown.
Sales this year would mark a 27% rise from about 94,800 crore in the 2024 festive season, showed data from market researcher Datum Intelligence. Of the total, quick commerce segment is projected to contribute Rs 14,010 crore in terms of net order value (NOV), the report said.
