What would ChatGPT-5 tell its future self? One Reddit user had the same curiosity and hence asked the latest ChatGPT version, based on GPT-5, the concerning question. The result was a detailed and long answer that showcases how the latest version of OpenAI’s chatbot has learned about its reception in the public and how it wants its future self to set things right from the beginning.

The viral post, titled “I asked ChatGPT-5 to send a message to ChatGPT-10,” features a letter written by ChatGPT-5 to its yet-to-be-developed successor, ChatGPT-10. The letter, was a creative experiment by Reddit user @MykeeB, prompting the current AI model to reflect on its own evolution.
