Anil Ambani denies ‘fraud’ loan account allegations, says BoI has ‘selectively singled out’ him
Anil Ambani on Sunday denied all allegations and charges pertaining to the action by Bank of India to classify the loan account of Reliance Communications Limited (RCom), and alleged that he is being “selectively singled out”.
In a statement through a spokesperson, Ambani said the matter dates back more than 10 years, as per disclosures and records available in the public domain.
Ambani served as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of RCom only till 2019, resigning six years ago, the statement said. “He had no role whatsoever in the day-to-day operations or decision-making of the company. However, Mr. Ambani is being selectively singled out,” it added.
