Vodafone Idea likely to align with Jio, Airtel on tariff hikes: Naveen Kulkarni

On the back of these ongoing pricing wars among telecom majors, where do you think Vodafone stands now? We haven’t seen any pricing action from them yet. Do you believe they will prioritize market share over pricing at this point?

Naveen Kulkarni: See, Vodafone Idea’s key challenges have been, first, the erosion of its subscriber base, and second, the need to significantly improve ARPU because of cash flow constraints. I believe Vodafone will eventually follow suit. It may take some time for them to figure it out, but more likely they will align with the market leaders.
