Meta’s first smart glasses with screen could come next month, and they might be more affordable than we thought

Meta’s upcoming display-equipped smart glasses, codenamed HyperNova, will hit the market at around $800 this fall, significantly affordable than the $1,000-plus price tag initially expected, according to Bloomberg.

The glasses, set to debut next month, will be Meta’s first smart eyewear with an actual screen. They’ll feature a small display in the right lens for mini apps and notifications, plus gesture controls through a neural wristband accessory similar to what Meta developed for its Orion AR prototypes.
