Vodafone Idea to display origin country for international incoming calls

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea (Vi) has recently said it will start displaying the country of origin for incoming international calls to improve its mobile users’ safety and prevent cyber frauds.

“In another industry first, we have become the first operator to launch a feature that displays the country of origin for incoming international calls,” the telco said in its Q1FY26 earnings statement, adding that the feature enhances users’ safety by empowering them to make informed choices before accepting calls.
