No more lawyer reels? Delhi Bar Council warns against social media fame

The Bar Council of Delhi (BCD) has issued a stern warning to legal practitioners against promoting themselves on social media and other digital platforms, flagging such actions as unethical and in violation of professional conduct rules, reported Bar and Bench. In a notice dated August 4, the Council said it had observed a rising trend of advocates engaging in “unethical canvassing” by posting promotional material, including interviews and photographs linked to ongoing or concluded cases.
