The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has issued a new advisory for the parents of children who have turned seven years old. UIDAI is urging the parents to complete the Mandatory Biometric Update (MBU) for children who have turned 7 years old. UIDAI has also warned that if the parents don’t complete the mandatory process then the Aadhaar card of their children will be deactivated. The warning comes as the UIDAI observes a significant number of children whose biometric data remains un-updated, despite existing regulations.
