Tesla CEO Elon Musk to ‘Blame’, says xAI on Grok calling itself ‘MechaHitler’
Grok 4, the AI chatbot developed by Elon Musk-owned company xAI stirred controversy last week. The AI bot referred to itself as ‘MechaHitler’, praised Adolf Hitler and made antisemitic and racist remarks in response to users’ questions. The company then responded by apologising for Gork’s ‘horrific behaviour’ and deleting several posts. It has now shared a post on X (previously Twitter), acknowledging the AI chatbot “doesn’t have an opinion”, “but knowing it was Grok 4 by xAI searches to see what xAI or Elon Musk might have said on a topic to align itself with the company.”
