Layoffs News: Microsoft to cut over 9,000 jobs as part of streamlining workforce efforts, reported the news portal Seattle Times on Wednesday, 2 July 2025.
According to the news portal’s report, this is the company’s largest round of layoffs since 2023, which is set to affect nearly 9,100 people, or 4 per cent of the company’s workforce. Big tech firm, Microsoft, has more than 228,000 employees around the world; however, the report did not specify any region for the layoffs.
