‘Mind your health please’: Infosys flags employees working longer hours at home

Software services company Infosys is warning employees spending longer hours during their remote work period, flagging health risks and urging them to focus on work-life balance.

The Bengaluru-headquartered company, in a barrage of emails sent individually to employees, has asked them to adhere to regular working hours as far as possible. “We must work for 9.15 hours a day for five days a week, and if we overshoot this while working remotely, it prompts a trigger,” an employee said on the condition of anonymity. The mail contains a message that his or her average work hour in the past month has been higher than the company’s standard working hours.
