Tejas Networks, Rakuten Symphony ink 5G Open RAN development deal

NEW DELHI: Homegrown telecom gear maker Tejas Networks has partnered with Japan’s Rakuten Symphony to develop Open Radio Access Network (Open RAN) solutions, and jointly work on go-to-market initiatives in India and internationally.

Under the partnership, which was announced after-market hours on Wednesday, Tejas will integrate CU and DU software, OSS and Cloud portfolio with the Tejas 4G and 5G radio portfolio, and explore opportunities for the deployment and expansion of networks worldwide, including in India.
