Cyber Fraud Alert: Miscreants pose as officials to extract data from ‘Maiya Samman’ beneficiaries

The East Singhbhum District Administration has issued a public advisory following reports that unknown individuals are attempting to collect confidential data from beneficiaries and officials associated with the ‘Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana’ through fraudulent phone calls and WhatsApp messages.

According to official sources, these fraudsters are impersonating government representatives, claiming to be from the Ranchi DC office. In a concerning trend, they are also using a WhatsApp profile photo of the Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum, Karn Satyarthi, to build credibility and pressure individuals into sharing beneficiary lists and personal details.
