Cognizant opens techfin centre at GIFT City

Cognizant opened a techfin centre at the Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City) on Wednesday, expanding its presence in Tier 2 cities. Cognizant chief financial officer (CFO) Jatin Dalal said the centre will work towards accelerating digital and AI-led solutions for global banking, financial services, insurance, and fintech. “We already have 150 employees at the office today, most of whom are locals. Starting with 600 employees, we aim to recruit 2,000 employees for the techfin centre within the next 3 years,” he said.
