SC rejects Bharti Airtel, Vodafone Idea pleas seeking waiver on AGR dues

New Delhi: The Supreme Court Monday dismissed petitions by Vodafone Idea (Vi) and Bharti Airtel seeking a waiver of adjusted gross revenue (AGR) dues toward interest, penalty, and interest on penalty, terming the pleas as “misconceived” and dealing a blow to expectations of financial relief for the telcos concerned.
