ChatGPT down: Users report facing issues with app and website globally

ChatGPT is currently experiencing a global outage impacting hundreds of users. According to outage tracking site Downdetector, the popular chatbot is not working for several users in India, the US and UK and other regions. As per Downdetector data, the outage reports peaked at around 7:53 pm IST and have since been going down. OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT, has yet to acknowledge the issue as users face problems while accessing the AI tool via its app and website. Nearly 1,000 users have already reported facing issues with ChatGPT. We at TOI Tech also faced troubles while using the chatbot, as it kept on showing an error message, which is shared below:
