US recession fears, tariff tantrums may dim IT growth

Fears of probable recession in the US and tariff programs on foreign products and services are likely to further delay growth prospects for India’s largest exporting $280 billion-plus outsourcing industry, experts and brokerage firms said in new reports. Cost pressures could increase and there will be a likely re-pause of discretionary spending on technology by the US firms, which contribute over 50% in revenue share of Indian software service exporters.
