Google is doing away with ‘Gemini Extensions’ with these ‘apps’: Here are all the changes

Google has announced a significant update to its Gemini platform, renaming ‘Gemini Extensions’ to simply ‘apps’ in the latest beta version of its application. According to a report by 9to5Google, the change is implemented in version 16.8, aims to make the feature more familiar and user-friendly by aligning it with a term that is widely recognised.

The rebranding effort is reflected throughout the Gemini interface, including the account menu and the page for enabling and disabling each tool.
