Delhi Metro to boost internet connectivity in trains? DMRC to lay 700km of high-speed optic fibre across network
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has signed an agreement with Beckhaul Digital Technologies Private Limited to boost internet connectivity across all its corridors, according to an official statement released on Friday.
As part of this initiative, the company will install 700 km of fiber optic cables along all metro lines, including the Airport Line. The rollout will be carried out in phases, with the Pink and Magenta Lines set to go live first. The remaining corridors are expected to be connected within the next six months.
