Google may follow Apple in opening retail stores in these Indian cities
Google is reportedly nearing a decision on the locations for its first physical retail stores in India, a key growth market where the company has pledged a $10 billion investment. These will be the Pixel phone maker’s first physical retail stores outside the US.
Citing sources familiar with the matter, news agency Reuters said that Google is looking to replicate Apple’s successful retail strategy, showcasing its Pixel phones, watches, and earbuds in dedicated stores. While Apple has over 500 physical stores worldwide, Google currently has only five physical stores, all in the US, which sell its products such as Pixel phones, watches and earbuds.
