DeepSeek ‘leaking’ sensitive data: cybersecurity company says “within minutes, we found…”
DeepSeek, the Chinese AI startup that recently took the tech world by storm, has been accidentally leaking sensitive data online, a cyber security company has claimed. New York-based Wiz says that it discovered the vulnerability that caused it and reported that over a million lines of data, including software keys and user chat logs, were left unsecured.
In a blog post, Wiz says that a database belonging to DeepSeek is publicly accessible online and it allows full control over database operations, including the ability to access internal data.
