Samsung president takes aim at Chinese smartphone companies; says there are ‘trust issues’

Samsung President and CEO, Southwest Asia, JB Park has called out trust issues with Chinese smartphones. Speaking to Economic Times at the launch of Samsung Galaxy S25 series in San Jose, US, the Samsung executive took aim at Chinese smartphone rivals, questioning their trustworthiness when it comes to handling user data for AI applications in India. JB Park, President and CEO of Samsung Southwest Asia, suggested that Indian consumers need to consider which brands they can reliably entrust with their private information.
