Indian-origin Republican leader Vivek Ramaswamy pulled out of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) – envisaged by US president Donald Trump to trim the administration – due to differences with Elon Musk over H-1B visas, a report has suggested, indicating the growing clout of the Tesla CEO in the new US dispensation.

Hours after Donald Trump’s inauguration as the 47th US President, Ramaswamy announced he would not co-head DOGE with Elon Musk – both handpicked by the US President.
