Meta apologises for Mark Zuckerberg’s ‘inadvertent error’ as Ashwini Vaishnaw calls out ‘misinformation’

Meta on Wednesday responded to Ashwini Vaishnaw’s post on X, calling Mark Zuckerberg’s comments on the Indian election “disappointing”. The Instagram parent company apologised for its CEO’s “inadvertent error” and reiterated that India is an “important country.”
Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, while taking offence to Mark Zuckerberg’s recent remarks about Indian elections, had written on X, “As the world’s largest democracy, India conducted the 2024 elections with over 640 million voters.
